Multi-Contact MC4 Connectors

MC4 connectors are standard for connecting solar panels. They provide a secure, weatherproof connection, ensuring reliable performance in various environmental conditions. Designed for ease of use, MC4 connectors allow quick and straightforward plug-and-play installation with a robust locking mechanism to prevent accidental disconnection. Built for high voltage and current, they ensure efficient and safe power transmission from your solar panels to your inverter or charge controller. Use pre-assembled PV cables with male/female MC4 connectors for a safe and neat solar power setup. Use MC4 branch connectors to connect two strings of solar panels in parallel.

The charger connects to a PV array of 150 or 250 Volt Voc and automatically detects and charges 12, 24, or 48V battery banks with currents ranging from 70 to 100A, depending on the model. Charge settings are fully programmable for different battery types, including lead-acid and lithium.

You can remotely control and configure the SmartSolar charger via Bluetooth using the VictronConnect App, which provides setup, management, and real-time information like battery voltage, current, PV voltage, and historical data. The charger is equipped with CAN bus ports for communication with additional VE.Can SmartSolar chargers, allowing them to synchronize charge stages and send data to a GX monitoring device via a single cable. If connected to the internet, the Victron Remote Management Portal (VRM) offers full access to your solar charger(s). For remote installations without internet, you can monitor your MPPT by connecting the GlobalLink 520.

The VE.Can SmartSolar charger also has a VE.Direct port for single-unit monitoring or streetlight control. An external third-party device, like a lithium battery, can control the remote on/off connector. An optional plug-in LCD display/control provides live data, setup, and management directly from the device.
