The Briggs and Stratton AmpliPHI-3.8-48 battery features a Battery Management System (BMS) configured for industry-leading inverters like Sol-Ark and SMA, with Schneider and other inverter brands being added soon. The BMS reports the State Of Charge (SOC) and other critical data in real time. Their closed-loop communications allow up to 75 batteries to be connected. AmpliPHI batteries also feature an accessible 100A DC breaker to turn the battery off and provide overcurrent protection (OCPD).
The AmpliPHI-3.8-48 is a 48V lithium ferro phosphate (LFP) battery with a nominal 3.87 kWh capacity at 100% depth of discharge (DOD). Unlike lead-acid batteries, lithium ferrous phosphate (LFP) batteries require no maintenance throughout their life span and are made from 100% recyclable materials, which are all non-toxic and non-hazardous.
AmpliPHI batteries are engineered and manufactured in California, US. They weigh 86 lbs (39.0 kg), are designed to be wall-mounted, and require no ventilation or cooling systems. They are certified to UL 1642, UL 1973, UL 9540, and UL 9540A Fire Safety. PHI batteries come with a 15-year limited warranty that includes repair or replacement of LFP batteries if found to have a manufacturing defect (see warranty document for details).
